El Mirador at Superstition Mountain| Gold Canyon, Arizona
47 Terraced Custom Desert Homesites with panoramic views of the dramatic west face of the Superstition Mountains.
El Mirador, Spanish for the “View Point,” is a private 47 lot custom homesite gated natural desert community. Located at one of the highest points within community of Gold Canyon, at the foot of the World famous Superstition Mountain Wilderness, El Mirador is recognized as the premier address in Gold Canyon. Only 35 minutes East of the Phoenix metropolitan airport and 25 minutes from downtown Scottsdale, homesites range in size from a half to over two and a half acres.
The site was an assemblage of five properties and the last significant parcel available for development in Gold Canyon. The property is stunningly located, surrounded on one side by Federal land, on two sides by, and overlooking Lyle Anderson’s Superstition Mountain and 36 holes of Jack Nicklaus designed golf, on the forth side by the peak of Silly Mountain, the panoramic views of El Mirador’s terraced lots are of the dramatic west face of the Superstition Mountains.
El Mirador was designed to incorporate every nuance of the natural environment, with every lot backing up to only the beautiful Sonoran Desert – no El Mirador lots back up to another El Mirador lot. The enclosed plan shows the attention to detail in the planning of each individual lot. The quality of the community is assured by a planned very restrictive Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (“CC&R’s”).
Gold Canyon’s history is as enduring as it is fascinating. Located in the high Sonoran Desert the deep canyons and stunning vistas of the Superstitions have provided a colorful heritage which echoes back to the 15th century Spanish Conquistadors who traveled the region looking for the fabled Seven Cities of Cibola. Resplendent with place names like Geronimo Head, Peralta Canyon and Dutchman’s Trail, the Superstition Mountains have cultivated a history which forever intertwines fact with fiction, truth with myth.
Gold Canyon’s more recent history started with master planning to create a resort atmosphere surrounding the beautiful Gold Canyon Golf Resort. Gold Canyon has now been “discovered” with the opening of Lyle Anderson’s Superstition Mountain, which opened to great reviews in 1998.
In a partnership with Accredited Investors, Biegel & Co acquired and developed the property. Custom Homesites are currently available from $385,000 to $1.5 million.
